What you'll do
- Administers medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication per physician written order.
- Administers therapy utilizing established standard of care and best practices.
- Recommends and implements appropriate alterations to therapy based on observations.
- Performs arterial blood gas sampling and transport.
- Interprets results and alerts appropriate personnel of abnormalities.
- Demonstrates proper chest physiotherapy and postural drainage techniques.
- Documents pre and post assessments, care planning, and daily documentation of patient receiving therapy.
- Ensures staff function per guidelines of National Board of Respiratory Care, other practice acts.
- Supervises new staff orientation to hospital/dept. process, policy, procedure, and documentation.
- Utilizes continuing education to keep abreast of current advancements related to pulmonary care.
- Celebrating patient victories along the way.

- Current State License in Respiratory Therapy
- CPR certification
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited respiratory therapy program
Nice to have
- ACLS certification preferred
- 2 years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred
