Lead / Senior Building Services Engineer (Data centre projects)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Building Services Engineer to join our growing team in Dublin. With excellent people skills, you have a proven ability to work in partnership at all levels. The role will focus on projects in the Data Centre sector.

With high levels of commitment, your responsibilities will include acting as a Lead Engineer especially at the initial stages of projects delivering high valued input to our cutting edge designs. A key part of your role will be to support and mentor your team-members.

• Design, Manage and Coordinate production of all Building Services systems, including HVAC, Utilities, Plumbing and Fire Protection for large scale projects.
• Lead the design from concept and BoD through Detailed Design and Construction Administration (design support during construction)
• Act as a SME and further develop PM Group’s design capability
• Attend design team meetings
• Conduct onsite inspections
• Develop and guide team working under your supervision
• Liaise and interact with the wider project team including designers, client and contractor
• Ensure that designs are in accordance with applicable codes and standards, e.g. Irish Building Regulations, CIBSE Design Guides, British Standards and Health & Safety Regulations

• 10+ years’ experience in the design of Building Services systems, preferably in a consultancy environment in the datacentre or similar industrial sectors such as lifesciences, oil and gas, semi-conductor
• Competent in design software such as Fluid Flow or Pipe-Flo.
• Honours degree (NFQ Level 8 for Ireland) preferably in Building Services or Mechanical engineering.
• Experience of working in a collaborative BIM environment
• Chartered Engineer preferred
