- Implement SPC, Control Plans, and reaction plans.
- Drive variation reduction and process standardization initiatives.
- Deploy Poka-Yoke solutions and automation to achieve a zero-defect mindset.

Autoliv is looking for an experienced Associate Manager - Process Engineering Development (PED) to drive industrialization, process excellence, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to lead new product industrialization, process optimization, automation projects, and capability-building initiatives within a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safety First (Non-Negotiable)
Champion a zero-incident safety culture across all PED processes.
Lead Process Risk Assessments, including PFMEA and MSRA, and drive corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ergonomics and workplace safety standards.
Promote safe process design through mistake-proofing, containment controls, and risk mitigation.
New Product Industrialization (NPI)
Lead industrialization activities from RFQ through SOP and ramp-up.
Design and implement robust manufacturing processes aligned with product requirements.
Develop and maintain:

Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Drive productivity, efficiency, and waste elimination across manufacturing processes.
Conduct time and motion studies to improve operational effectiveness.
Lead structured problem-solving activities using 8D, 5 Why, and QC tools.
Deliver measurable improvements in OEE, yield, quality, and cost.
Equipment & Technology Development
Define manufacturing process and equipment specifications.
Lead machine development, pre-acceptance activities, commissioning, and validation.
Drive automation and digitalization initiatives aligned with Industry 4.0 standards.
Ensure alignment between process capability and technological requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with:
R&D for DFM/DFA and design reviews
Quality teams for APQP and PPAP activities
Operations & Maintenance teams
EHS teams
Ensure seamless alignment between product design, manufacturing processes, and plant capabilities.
Standardization & Knowledge Sharing
Develop and implement best practices across manufacturing lines.
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and Autoliv global standards.
Share lessons learned and best practices within the global PED network.
Team Development & Leadership
Build and develop a high-performing Process Engineering team.
Strengthen team capabilities in:
