An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to take the next step into a clinical leadership role with a well-established small animal practice in Devon.

Offering a salary of £50,000 – £60,000 DOE, this role combines hands-on clinical work with the opportunity to lead, support and develop the veterinary team and help shape the future direction of the practice.

The Role

This is a varied position combining everyday clinical work with responsibility for supporting and developing the wider veterinary team.

You'll continue to manage your own caseload across consultations and surgery while taking a more active role in clinical leadership, helping colleagues develop and maintaining high standards of patient and client care.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality first opinion consultations and surgery
• Developing appropriate treatment plans with clients
• Supporting and mentoring veterinary colleagues
• Helping maintain and develop clinical standards
• Sharing clinical knowledge and best practice
• Working collaboratively with the wider veterinary and nursing team
• Contributing ideas to the continued development of the practice

There is scope to make the position your own, making it particularly suitable for someone who enjoys clinical work but is also looking for greater responsibility and influence within their practice.

About You

You'll need to be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with solid small animal clinical experience and confidence across general practice.

The practice is happy to consider both:

• An established Lead Veterinary Surgeon looking for a new opportunity, or
• An experienced Veterinary Surgeon ready to take their first step into a formal leadership position.

You'll ideally enjoy supporting colleagues, sharing your knowledge and helping create a positive and collaborative clinical environment.

You'll be joining a friendly small animal practice in Devon, with a strong emphasis on clinical standards, teamwork and patient care.
