Leading Hand Process Technician

## About the Role Scotford Fennessy Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced **Process Technician Leading Hand** for a permanent FIFO opportunity with **Northern Star!** Working on an **8:6 / 7:7 roster from Perth**, this role will see you lead and mentor a team of Process Technicians while ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the processing plant. You will play a key role in driving production performance, maintaining safety standards and developing team capability across a large-scale gold processing operation. This opportunity is ideally suited to a strong gold processing professional who is looking to step into or continue within a leadership position at one of Western Australia’s premier gold operations! **Key Responsibilities** - Lead, mentor and support a team of Process Technicians across daily operations. - Ensure plant performance targets are achieved safely and efficiently. - Maximise gold recovery while maintaining environmental and operational compliance. - Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments and workplace inspections. - Report and investigate incidents, hazards and equipment issues. - Coordinate with maintenance teams to optimise plant availability and reliability. - Support training and development initiatives across the processing team. - Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example. **About You** - Previous experience within a gold processing operation. - Demonstrated leadership experience as a Leading Hand, Senior Process Technician or similar. - Strong understanding of gold processing circuits including crushing, grinding, CIL, elution and tailings. - Proven commitment to safety and operational excellence. - Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. - Current Australian C Class Driver’s Licence. - Schedule 26 (S26) qualification is highly regarded however not mandatory **What’s on Offer?** - Permanent FIFO opportunity from Perth, WA. - 8:6 / 7:7 lifestyle roster. - Leadership position within a well-established gold operation. - Competitive salary package, bonus structure and employee benefits. - Ongoing career development and progression opportunities. - Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture.
