[What you will be working on]
- Teaching and facilitating learning across Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP), Pre-Employment Training (PET), and Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes through classroom delivery, assessment, consultation, project supervision, and learner support.
- Designing, developing, and reviewing curriculum, learning activities, and assessments to ensure alignment with industry practices, workplace communication needs, and educational best practices for both PET and CET.
- Developing learners' communication competencies in areas such as business writing, presentations, digital communication, content creation, stakeholder engagement, professional branding, and workplace communication.
- Integrating Generative AI (GenAI), digital technologies, and innovative pedagogies into teaching and assessment, while developing learners' competencies in AI-assisted communication, responsible AI use, critical evaluation, and human-AI collaboration.
- Collaborating with industry partners, professional bodies, and other stakeholders to co-create authentic learning experiences, communication projects, and innovative training initiatives.
- Mentoring and supporting the academic, professional, and personal development of youth and adult learners through inclusive, learner-centred, and adaptive teaching approaches.
- Contributing to industry engagement, professional development, outreach activities, school initiatives, committee work, and administrative responsibilities.
[What we are looking for]
- A relevant qualification in Communication Studies, Mass Communication, Corporate Communication, Strategic Communication, Marketing Communication, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry and/or teaching experience in communication, content development, training, education, digital communication, marketing communication, or related fields.
- Familiarity with AI, digital technologies, and emerging communication trends, with the ability to apply these effectively in professional or educational settings.
- Experience in curriculum development, teaching, facilitation, coaching, training, or adult learning. Experience in CET, corporate training, or workforce development will be an advantage.
- Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to develop learner-centred learning experiences that foster communication competence, critical thinking, digital fluency, and responsible use of technology.
- Passion for learner development, with strong organisational skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
