  • Engage with E&A (Engineering and Authentication) and Security team, develop and validate Printhead and Supplies security features integration for NPIs.
  • Own autopsy, triage, and failure tracking activities. This includes collecting failed printheads or supplies, performing initial triage, coordinating failure analysis activities, summarizing findings, reporting results, and driving follow-up actions.

Description -

The New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) organization under Inkjet Supplies Development and Operations (ISDO) is responsible for developing innovative technologies and delivering winning products to the marketplace.

The Large Format Writing System and System Integration Team focuses on validating design robustness, reliability, and customer experience to successfully deliver new technologies and products. The team supports a diverse portfolio for GSB (Graphics Solution Business) across AEC (Architecture Engineering and Construction) and PSP (Print Service Provider) platforms.

This broad product portfolio provides engineers with opportunities to work across multiple technologies, gain exposure to different market segments, and develop their careers through a variety of technical and leadership experiences.

NPDI Writing System and System Integration Engineers are responsible for delivering products that meet design requirements in print quality, reliability, and customer experience.

In this role, you will:

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Acumen Template: Collaborate with WW team to align SKU strategy, own NPI SIE Acumen template creation and modification for NPIs etc
  • ILG or EOSL Test: Develop and validate system-level interactions to ensure new products meet or exceed intended customer experience objectives.
  • SMART Testing: Engage with E&A (Engineering and Authentication) and Security team, develop and validate Printhead and Supplies security features integration for NPIs.
  • Triage: Own autopsy, triage, and failure tracking activities. This includes collecting failed printheads or supplies, performing initial triage, coordinating failure analysis activities, summarizing findings, reporting results, and driving follow-up actions.
  • Writing System Test: Lead printer system testing to demonstrate printhead architecture (PHA) and/or ink baseline performance. Key performance metrics include nozzle health, edge roughness, spray performance, decap, flow rate, color accuracy, and other print quality attributes, while identifying pen, ink, and printer interaction issues.
  • Timeless Support: Collaborate with Ink Supplies Development Organization (ISDO) manufacturing teams to support printhead manufacturing qualification, technology transfer, and production readiness.
