Logistics Consultant – Robotics and Autonomous Systems (Senior Consultant)

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Logistics Consultant – Robotics and Autonomous Systems (Senior Consultant) to provide logistics expertise, operational analysis, and problem-solving support to government clients. This is a client-facing role for an experienced logistics professional who can assess complex challenges, develop practical solutions, and work collaboratively with government stakeholders to improve logistics operations and program performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong logistics experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate operational requirements into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted logistics advisor to government clients and program leadership.
• Assess logistics operations, processes, and requirements to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement practical solutions to complex logistics and operational challenges.
• Analyze logistics data, processes, and performance metrics to support informed decision-making.
• Conduct process reviews and develop recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and resource utilization.
• Support logistics planning, forecasting, inventory, asset management, transportation, and operational readiness activities.
• Develop client deliverables including assessments, reports, briefings, process documentation, and recommendations.
• Facilitate meetings and working sessions with government stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and project teams.
• Translate client requirements and operational challenges into clear strategies, processes, and solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, tools, and business practices.
• Support implementation of recommendations and help clients measure results.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary consulting teams to address broader organizational and operational challenges.

Requirements:

• Active Secret clearance
• Must be located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and able to work onsite as required.
• 5+ years of professional logistics experience, with increasing responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred
• Demonstrated experience providing logistics consulting, advisory, or operational support.
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, inventory, asset management, transportation, or related operations.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders in a professional services, consulting, or government contracting environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a client-focused environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior military logistics experience strongly desired.
• Experience supporting DoD or other federal government clients.
• Experience conducting logistics assessments, process improvement, or organizational analysis.
• Familiarity with federal logistics, supply, property, transportation, or asset-management programs.
• Experience developing and presenting recommendations to government leadership.
• Experience with logistics management systems, data analytics, dashboards, or performance metrics.
• Lean Six Sigma or related process-improvement certification.
• Experience leading or mentoring logistics or consulting teams.

 Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Close vision is required.

 Travel:  

• Up to 25% travel as needed
