Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Logistics Engineer based out of Baltimore, MD.
 

What You'll Get to Do:

Be part of our Logistics Engineering team. Review field support requirements and recommend tool and test equipment. Establish calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Perform maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Review handbooks for technical adequacy. Assist in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plan and contribute to proposal efforts.

As our new team member you will get to perform Product Support Analysis in accordance with MIL-HDBK-502 & TA-STD-0017; Logistics Product Data in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages Management (DMSMS) in accordance with HDBK SD-22. You will also get to interpret technical drawings and specifications; and conduct trade studies and business case analysis, to generate an integrated strategy for the deployment, operation, maintenance, and ongoing sustainment of radars, sensors and communication systems. Training is available in logistics-specific analyses and software tools. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a Life Cycle Sustainment Strategy for a system of Ground Radars and Ancillary Equipment.

  • Develop a shipping and deployment strategy for the delivery of products to a variety of customers.

  • Maintenance Engineering Analysis- Interpreting technical data for radar and communication hardware and then identifying the maintenance actions.

  • Communicate and resolve complex issues. 

  • Communicate, problem solve, develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment that requires continuous learning technical skills.

  • Monitor and maintain configuration management of lab spaces, including hardware, firmware, and software baselines, documentation, and change tracking.

  • Perform required sanitization procedures for classified equipment in accordance with applicable directives and guidance and coordinate the secure movement of modules and hardware to other test areas both on and off campus.

  • Collaborate with other Logistics Engineers to coordinate the storage, receipt, and accountability of spare hardware and subassemblies, ensuring accurate records and traceability.

  • Ensure adequate and appropriate test equipment is available and serviceable for all ATP lab spaces, and coordinate with the ATP Logistician to manage calibrations, replacements, and additional equipment needs as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Strong skills with Excel - for example, managing Pivot tables, VBA programming, etc.

  • Demonstrated understanding of at least one element of Product Support such as the following: (1) Product Support Analysis or Logistics Support Analysis (PSA or LSA); (2) Logistics Product Data (LPD) development; (3)Technical Training for operation and maintenance of radar and/or communications equipment; or similar.

  • US Citizenship and a current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance are required. Must have the ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in an engineering discipline.

  • Systems Engineering experience relevant to the development and/or sustainment of radar/sensor/communication systems.

  • Demonstrated success with building proposals and Project management.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Department of Defense Product Support disciplines in accordance with per MIL-HDBK-502 & TA-STD-0017; Logistics Product Data in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages Management (DMSMS) in accordance with HDBK SD-22.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management, individual contributors, and customers.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,800.00 - $98,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
