LPN or LPN-Graduate Nurse Resident - Surgical (PT, Nights)

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details:

LPN or LPN-Graduate Nurse Resident

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Surgical

Status: Part-Time - 24 hrs/week

Shift: 12 Hour (Nights - 1900-0730)

***May be eligible for sign on bonus up to $2,000***

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current Missouri LPN license and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Physical Requirements/Demands: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
