  • Work in a cold environment with temperatures that range from 35 to 38 degrees.
  • Follow uniform policies related to working in a food production facility.
  • Wear steel/composite/aluminum toe, slip resistant safety shoes/boots.

Position Summary: This position is responsible for general production work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art fresh cut produce facility, including cutting, packing, and assembling many types of fresh produce.

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Adhere to all rules of safety and regulatory compliance including (USDA, QTV, FDA, OSHA, SQF, etc.)

  • Ensure quality standards are being met throughout entire process

  • Ability to cut fresh produce by hand using knives or other hand tools.

  • Pack and assemble fresh cut produce.

  • Walk, stand, balance, push, pull, reach and be able to lift up to 25lbs. on a regular basis.

  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Move and grasp items with both hands; hear and see well.

  • Work in a cold environment with temperatures that range from 35 to 38 degrees.

  • Follow uniform policies related to working in a food production facility.

  • Wear steel/composite/aluminum toe, slip resistant safety shoes/boots.

  • Must be able to work around cleaning chemicals - for example chlorine and sanitizer. Must be able to work in an environment with ammonia.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required

  • At least 6months of food processing experience

  • At least 6 months experience with large scale food preparation equipment and techniques

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends

  • 18 years of age

Skills and Requirements

  • Read and write basic English

  • Must have a strong mindset and uphold standards of machine safety and operational procedures-Complete inspections before and after usage

  • Must have technology proficiencies and be able to learn how to operate equipment with the Machine Interface responsible for creating recipes.  

  • Ability to navigate the operational features of the machine and ability to troubleshoot equipment to determine root causes of equipment stoppages.

  • Monitor machinery operation to identify concerns and make corrections or report complex problems. 

  • Ensure machines are in optimal working condition to maintain required productivity levels and adherence to quality standards.

  • Basic troubleshooting with machinery.

  • Attention to detail regarding the working condition of the equipment including quality of seal of bags, cups, and blade sharpness

  • Keen attention to detail and responsible for Food Safety Quality Inspection of Raw Materials

  • Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining safety awareness, including in the warehouse

  • Ability to communicate effectively with different departments to deliver expected customer service levels

  • Ability to be cross trained on various areas of the production floor

  • Must plan production runs to reduce change overs and manage time effectively

  • Have Leadership skills and work well with a team
