Maintenance Engineer (Days based) – Food Industry

Location: Essex/Cambridgeshire Border

Salary: circa £42k + benefits

Reference: EH/MSEE

I am looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias to join a highly successful food and drink manufacturer at their site in the Essex area. There are real opportunities for promotion into wider roles.

The Role:

• Carry out routine maintenance activities
• Plant and efficiency Improvements
• Health and Safety

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will responsible for efficient maintenance, repair and improvement of all equipment through planned and non-planned activities to maximise the plant availability, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve 100% compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime.

During this process, you will ensure that all engineering activities comply with relevant health and safety/food safety regulations and legislations.

The Candidate:

• Engineering Qualification / Time Served Apprenticeship
• Previous Experience in Food/FMCG Manufacturing
• Passion to learn and develop

To be considered for the role, it’s essential for you to have a formal engineering qualification, or a time served apprenticeship.

You will have a positive attitude always, open to change with a proactive approach and passionate attitude to business success.
