Maintenance Fitter

Job Description

As our Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for maintaining all equipment at Youfoodz. You will handle a mix of scheduled preventative maintenance and reactive tasks, responding to breakdown calls from production staff and assisting with capital projects to ensure our facility runs at peak efficiency.

This role is based at our Karawatha, Brisbane facility and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will…

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance work across the facility.

• Respond to production calls to fault-find and rectify equipment and machinery issues.

• Assist in developing processes to drive continuous improvement and reduce machinery downtime.

• Help maintain stock levels for critical spare parts.

• Support capital projects and new equipment installations as required.

• Report on daily findings and activities during shift handovers.

• Adhere to all quality processes and procedures during your work.

You have…

• A trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.

• At least 5 years of experience maintaining electromechanical machinery.

• 3 years of experience specifically within food industry maintenance.

• Proficiency in metal fabrication and Stainless TIG welding.

• A strong understanding of automated machinery, HACCP, and GMP standards.

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role

You must have the right to work full-time in Australia.

Day Shift: Hours: 5am to 3pm

Location: Karawatha, Brisbane - Parking On site
