Labcorp is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Raritan, NJ.  

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs

• Maintain and repair MEP systems including, plumbing, electrical systems and HVAC components

• Perform general building maintenance such as painting, spackling, carpentry, and ceiling repairs

• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned

• Maintain facility cleanliness and an organized workspace

• Track maintenance activities and repairs using CMMS and spreadsheets

• Conduct daily equipment rounds to monitor systems

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

• Participate in safety training and maintain required certifications

• Assist with snow removal as needed

• Coordinate with maintenance staff and external contractors on projects

• Order parts and supplies as needed

• Participate in on-call rotation and overtime as required

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• 2 years or more of maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years or more of maintenance experience

• Black Seal Boiler License

• CFR 40 Certification

Additional Job Standards

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems

• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

• Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position

Pay Range: $23.00-$30.00/hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. 

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
