About the Role
If you’re a Maintenance Superintendent who values well-maintained equipment and a properly resourced workshop, this is an opportunity to join a maintenance team that’s set up to succeed. Our underground fleet includes modern Sandvik development and production rigs, load and haul units equipped with RTC systems, Normet charge rigs, Volvo ITs providing exposure to a diverse and technically advanced range of equipment.
We operate from a purpose-built six-bay steel workshop complete with overhead cranes and a service pit, supported by a dedicated maintenance store carrying more than $3 million in parts and consumables. With separate light vehicle and boilermaker facilities located nearby, we’ve invested heavily in our infrastructure so you can focus on quality maintenance and continuous improvement – not chasing parts or working around limitations.
Beyond our main operation, we also have smaller satellite sites up and running with more coming online across the belt. These present genuine opportunities to take ownership – assisting in establishing satellite workshop facilities, setting maintenance standards and defining what “good” looks like across different operating environments.
In a long-life operation with a growing footprint, this is a stable and professional environment where your trade skills won’t just be valued – they’ll help shape the way we operate.
Key Responsibilities
As our Underground Maintenance Superintendent on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Underground Maintenance team to safely deliver reliable and efficient maintenance outcomes across the underground mobile fleet.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will provide hands on leadership, coaching and direction to maintenance supervisors and crews while building a culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
Working closely with Underground Mining Operations and other site departments, you will ensure maintenance activities are aligned with production priorities, equipment reliability targets and business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact by driving maintenance performance, improving equipment availability and contributing to the continued growth of one of Western Australia's growing underground gold operations.
