We partner with clients to optimize their finance functions, streamline processes, enhance reporting, and enable faster, data-driven decision-making. Our team leverages advanced technologies, including AI and automation, to drive efficiency, reduce complexity, and deliver timely, high-quality insights across core controllership activities such as daily accounting operations, financial close, and reporting.

As a Director in our Managed Services Delivery practice, you will lead complex client relationships and Managed Services engagements while helping scale the practice. You will partner with CFOs, Controllers, CAOs, and other senior leaders to shape sustainable outsourced finance operating models, oversee delivery quality and transformation, and identify opportunities to expand CFGI’s impact with clients. This role combines executive-level client leadership, operational delivery, team development, technology enablement, and business development.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex Managed Services client relationships and oversee engagements across assessment, transition, and ongoing delivery operations.
  • Partner with CFOs, Controllers, CAOs, and senior finance leaders to define effective outsourced controllership and finance operating models.
  • Provide executive oversight of accounting operations, financial close, reporting, and related controllership activities across client engagements.
  • Establish and monitor delivery expectations, governance, service quality, performance metrics, and client outcomes.
  • Lead major process-improvement initiatives across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, and other core finance processes.
  • Advise executive stakeholders on complex accounting, reporting, controls, operating-model, and finance-delivery challenges.
  • Oversee development of sophisticated dashboards, data models, KPIs, and management reporting that improve transparency and decision-making.
  • Champion the use of AI, automation, analytics, and finance technologies to improve service quality, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with CFGI capabilities across accounting advisory, finance transformation, data and analytics, systems, and other relevant functions to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Oversee engagement staffing, team performance, quality, delivery risks, and escalation management.
  • Develop Senior Managers, Managers, and Consultants while building a strong leadership pipeline within the practice.
  • Expand existing client relationships by identifying unmet needs, cross-selling relevant CFGI capabilities, and developing new Managed Services opportunities.
  • Lead or contribute to proposals, solution design, pricing discussions, presentations, and other business-development activities.
  • Contribute to Managed Services methodologies, delivery standards, technology strategy, recruiting, and broader practice growth.

What you must have:

  • 10+ years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, outsourced accounting, managed services, and/or corporate accounting or finance, including at least 1 year of public accounting audit experience.
  • Experience leading complex accounting, controllership, outsourced finance, or managed-services engagements and teams.

What sets you apart:

  • Experience advising CFOs, Controllers, CAOs, or other senior finance executives on accounting operations, financial reporting, controllership, or finance-delivery matters.
  • Experience overseeing complex month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal-control environments.
  • Experience leading large or multi-workstream finance engagements with responsibility for delivery quality, staffing, client relationships, and outcomes.
  • Experience designing or improving outsourced finance, managed-services, shared-services, or other scalable finance operating models.
  • Experience leading transformation across procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report, or other core finance processes.
  • Experience using technology, AI, automation, analytics, or reporting solutions to improve finance operations at scale.

  • Combines strategic thinking with a strong understanding of day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
  • Can translate client challenges into scalable solutions and mobilize teams to deliver them.
