What you'll do
- Preparation of periodic management accounts on a timely basis in accordance with scheduled timetable
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts at each period end
- Analytical review of profit and loss statement, investigate any significant variances and provide commentary where necessary
- Calculating and entering journals onto system to bring gross margin costing in line with expectations
- Updating fixed asset registers, calculating prepayments and accruals, bank and cash reconciliations and processing of journals
- Preparation of monthly Intrastat reports for Spanish entity
- Responsible for both year-end budget and mid-year re-forecast processes as well as an on-going review throughout the year
- Support the year end process and Audit, responding to any audit queries where required
- Liaising with off-site teams to discuss the accounts as well as gaining a good understanding of recent activities to ensure they are reflected in the accounts

- ACCA or CIMA studier with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Advanced Excel skills
- First rate inter personal and communication skills

Established manufacturing, distribution group in North Kent are now looking for a part qualified, experienced Management Accountant to join the team. This is a new role taking responsibility for the European business and reporting to the Finance Manager.
Responsibility of the Management Accountant Role:-
- Preparation of periodic management accounts on a timely basis in accordance with scheduled timetable
