What you'll do

  • Help build and operationalize the firm's Constraints Governance Framework, including the processes, controls, standards, and governance practices used to manage investment restrictions across their lifecycle.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the investment constraint lifecycle and act as a subject matter expert on its governance processes, workflows, and controls.
  • Partner with Portfolio Compliance, Front Office, Product, Legal, and Operations teams to translate investment constraint requirements into clear processes, controls, workflows, and operational requirements.
  • Establish and maintain governance workflows covering the intake, interpretation, approval, coding, testing, implementation, and ongoing review of investment constraints.
  • Identify inefficiencies, process gaps, and manual activities, and lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, and automate them.
  • Design and support the implementation of workflow and automation solutions using Power Automate and other technologies to improve operational efficiency and strengthen controls.
  • Gather business requirements, evaluate potential solutions, and work with technology teams to implement system and process enhancements.
  • Coordinate testing, implementation, and change management activities for new processes, technologies, and governance controls.
  • Design and implement reporting solutions using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform that provide visibility into key performance indicators, operational metrics, capacity management, and Constraints Governance activities, enabling data-driven decision making across the team.
  • Develop and maintain governance documentation, operating procedures, process maps, and supporting materials that promote consistency and scalability.
  • Support strategic initiatives across Portfolio Compliance and Operations Risk.

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group ("CC&L FG") is looking for a Manager, Constraints Governance & Process Engineering to help build and scale a newly established capability within the Portfolio Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the firm's Constraints Governance Framework and improving the processes, controls, workflows, and technology that support the lifecycle of investment restrictions across the organization. Working closely with members of the team and business stakeholders, you will help design scalable governance processes and automation solutions that improve efficiency, consistency, and control.

What You Will Do:

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000.  The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation of this position. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
