The function of the Manager, Development Execution is to manage the pipeline for restaurant openings, renovations, and closures. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Development Execution, this role is crucial for enabling the Tim Hortons US brand to achieve its ambitious NRG and new image targets. Additionally, the role is involved in leading new development opportunities and problem-solving various issues across the development and real estate pipeline. The Manager will consistently be working cross functionally with franchisees, design and construction to ensure the growth and stability of the Tim Hortons US system. This role is a key contributor to the maintenance and growth of the Tim Hortons restaurant system.

RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for enabling franchisees to achieve ambitious net restaurant growth and restaurant remodels targets.
  • Lead weekly internal development calls with design, real estate, and construction teams to ensure pipeline progress toward openings & remodel targets.
  • Lead weekly development meetings with new franchisees to ensure progress developing new sites and overall adherence to development agreements.
  • Work cross-functionally with market planning, business development and operations team to enable an efficient development process, and successful new restaurant openings.
  • Actively manage closures pipeline with field and real estate teams to mitigate closures by via creative solutions to continue restaurant operations.
  • Manage the process for new development site selection and real estate approval committee (REAC) including preparing the presentations and conducting analyses on site submissions from real estate managers.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and processes for equipment ordering as part of the new development process.
  • Routine and ad hoc reporting for pipeline progress and performance analysis for new developments and remodels.
  • Managing project management software to track new development and remodel progress.

Skill and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Business, Real Estate, or Finance.
  • 2-5 years relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication and organizational skills, with strong ability to multi-task and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen to maintain and grow relationships with franchise partners, internal construction/design/real estate function, internal and outside legal counsel and various other departments within the brand.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage and improve processes including using automation and AI to find efficiencies.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrates high level of problem-solving skills, and creativity.
  • Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the success of the brand, the team, and personal career growth.
