What you'll do

  • Act as the primary Financial Crime Advisory partner for Crown Melbourne, building trusted relationships across business and operational teams.
  • Provide expert advice and practical guidance on financial crime obligations, financial crime risks, regulatory requirements and compliance matters.
  • Review new products, initiatives, processes and operational changes to identify financial crime risks and recommend appropriate controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify emerging risks, investigate issues and drive effective remediation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver financial crime awareness training and education activities, promoting a strong compliance culture across the business.
  • Analyse financial crime data, trends and metrics to identify insights, assess risks and inform decision-making.
  • Assess potential regulatory incidents, breaches and reportable events, providing recommendations on appropriate actions and response strategies.
  • Assist with regulatory engagement activities, including coordinating responses to regulator enquiries, reviews and information requests.
  • Represent the Financial Crime function in business forums, operational meetings and stakeholder discussions, influencing positive risk and compliance outcomes.

Manager – Financial Crime Advisory

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Manager Financial Crime Advisory to join our Financial Crime team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Group Senior Manager Financial Crime Advisory, you will play a critical role in supporting Crown Melbourne's compliance with AML/CTF, ABAC and Sanctions obligations and strengthening our financial crime risk framework.

About the Role

As the key Financial Crime Advisory contact for Crown Melbourne, you will provide expert guidance on regulatory requirements, business initiatives and financial crime risk management. You will be a conduit for the broader Financial Crime Team and partner with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure financial crime obligations are understood, embedded and effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

You are a trusted financial crime professional with strong regulatory knowledge and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical business solutions. You enjoy collaborating with stakeholders and are passionate about building a strong compliance culture.
 

Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in AML/CTF, financial crime compliance, regulatory, consulting or related environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of Australian AML/CTF legislation and regulatory expectations.
