Job brief:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager, Growth & Marketing Subscriptions to support the strategic development, expansion, and execution of our subscription offerings. This role will partner closely with the Director of Growth & Marketing Subscriptions to help define the go-to-market strategy for new subscription products, optimize existing offerings, and drive sustainable subscriber growth and retention. This role will act as a key connector between Creative, Product, and Engineering, helping ensure our subscription value proposition resonates powerfully with our target audiences and delivers exceptional business results. This role will cover Web, Mobile Web, and Apps.

Join us as we navigate a large-scale organizational transformation. We move fast, and we need someone who can bring clarity to ambiguity while driving success in an ever-changing environment.

The impact you'll make:

  • Support the growth and subscription marketing strategy, focusing on customer acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, and monetization.
  • Develop compelling and differentiated subscription value propositions, messaging, and positioning that clearly articulate the benefits of our offerings.
  • Manage subscription growth channels and execute rigorous A/B testing and optimization programs across the funnel.
  • Act as a key marketing partner in the product development process, providing input to the roadmap based on market opportunity, competitive analysis, and consumer insights.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to bring new subscription offers and value propositions to our audiences.
  • Drive initiatives to improve the user journey from prospect to subscriber, focusing on seamless onboarding and friction reduction.
  • This role isn't just about Growth Hacking and Creative & Copy testing, it's about identifying new entry points and new ways to interact with users to support that value proposition and acquire subscribers.

What you've accomplished:

  • Subscription Marketing Experience, including exposure to bundled subscriptions, upsells, cross sells, etc. and complex pricing tiers.
  • App Ecosystem Knowledge: Solid understanding of subscription-based business models and the technical/commercial nuances of the iOS and Google Play ecosystems.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Diligent monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs), with a focus on identifying and responding to fluctuations in Conversion, Paid Trials, DAU, MAU, and ARPU, etc.
  • Solid Product Experience with a strong understanding of user experience and the ability to identify and articulate points of friction within an experience and help elevate these as compelling value propositions to potential and existing subscribers.
  • Strong Growth Marketing skills and experience developing and executing testing plans (A/B, multivariate) across the full funnel to increase subscription volume and optimize key conversion metrics.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in growth marketing, or a related role, with a minimum of 2 years focused specifically on subscription-based products.
  • Analytical fluency and a proven ability to leverage data (A/B testing, cohort analysis, LTV, churn metrics) to inform marketing strategy and recommendations.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with Creative, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Marketing leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking coupled with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex concepts into simple, compelling customer benefits.
  • Comfortable adopting AI tools (such as Claude, Mercury, and similar platforms) as part of daily workflow, with a genuine willingness to learn new tools as our organization continues to invest in them. We value speed to market and productivity, and provide the tools, training, and support to help you work smarter and faster.
  • Someone who flourishes and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable managing multiple priorities with the ability to shift and shape approaches as we evolve.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
