About this role

Becton Dickinson (BD) recently completed the acquisition of the Edwards Critical Care business.  This position is part of the Critical Care division, and as such will become a part of the BD organization in the future.  Critical Care will operate as a separate business unit, called Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) within BD's medical segment, aligning with BD's smart connected care approach.   BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care. Be the strategic partner for Chinese Government, Healthcare Institutes, Hospitals, Chinese Patients and Business Units to enable and improve market access of innovative therapeutic solutions for structural heart disease and advanced critical care technologies to simplify decision-making in the hospital environment.

How you’ll make an impact:
• Work seamlessly with Business Units on Market Access Projects include creating new therapeutic/device charge code, obtaining pricing approval and obtaining reimbursement approval to enable and improve access of innovative therapeutic solutions for structural heart disease and advanced critical care technologies to simplify decision-making in the hospital environment (e.g. Big Green Book adoption at provincial level)
• Resolve impactful tendering issues, including policy lobby with industry associations and information collection, by partnering with tendering authority
• Analyze on government policies and initiatives concerning Healthcare Reform, Price Reform, Market Access, and other areas impacting Edwards, and provide professional insight and advice to Business Unit on the impact of the policy updates and how to mitigate the changes
• Build and maintain good relationship with provincial healthcare related authorities
• Actively participate industry groups to maintain dialogue with provincial government. and influence policy formulation and implementation whenever appropriate
• Conduct Government Affairs related trainings for internal customers, included but not limited to business units
• Other incidental duties

What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree in in related field , at least 8 years years experience of experience in healthcare, with some experience in government relations, sales, tendering or pricing, reimbursement function, regulatory in multinational pharmaceutical or medical device companies Required
Other: in Medical education and health economic training backgroundPricing & reimbursement experience is highly Preferred

• Expert understanding of healthcare industry
• Strict attention to detail
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Represents leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing with business unit, sales, marketing team, healthcare related government officials
• Consult in project setting within market access area
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
