About this role

Job Title: Key Account Manager
Location: Mumbai
Company: Gamlaa Bioscapes Pvt Ltd

Industry Preference: Office Furniture/Glass/Lights/Architectural solutions/Landscape solutions/corporate interior

About Gamlaa Bioscapes:
Gamlaa Bioscapes (https://gamlaa.com/) is a pioneering company specializing in innovative bioscape solutions that enhance living environments with nature-inspired designs. We are committed to delivering exceptional client value through strategic partnerships and cutting-edge technologies.

Job Summary:
The Key Account Manager owns Gamlaa’s strategic corporate relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and account growth for indoor landscaping solutions across offices, F&B, retail, and real estate portfolios. The KAM acts as the senior client contact, designs account plans that align Gamlaa’s services (design, installation, maintenance, biophilic consulting and plant rental) with client workplace and brand goals, and coordinates delivery across operations, horticulture, design, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own a portfolio of existing strategic corporate accounts (HQs, real estate/Developers, co-working and other commercial spaces) and be the primary point of contact for all commercial and delivery matters.
  • Develop and maintain account plans that define client objectives, success metrics (appearance, plant health, occupant satisfaction, CSR/ESG outcomes), revenue targets, renewal timelines, and opportunities for upsell (seasonal displays, workshops, biophilic design audits).
  • Drive renewals, upsell and cross-sell of services (maintenance contracts, new installations, seasonal refreshes, plant rental, workshops, interior green walls) and negotiate commercial terms to meet revenue targets.
  • Coordinate internal delivery: schedule site surveys, hand off design specs to the studio, work with horticulture and operations to ensure installation quality, and monitor ongoing maintenance SLAs.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and site walkthroughs with client stakeholders (facilities, HR, workplace design, procurement) and present performance reports, service improvements, and cost/ROI insights.
  • Proactively manage service escalations and plant health issues with internal stakeholders; coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions with the horticulture and operations teams.
  • Maintain clean CRM records (contracts, scopes, SLAs, contact maps, service schedules) and provide accurate account forecasts and pipeline updates to Leadership.
  • Develop and manage an efficient KAM team to nurture a large portfolio of clients.
  • Act as the client advocate internally — feed client input into product/service improvements and new offering development (e.g., low-water plant palettes, sensor-enabled plant care).

Required skills and competencies
  • Strong client relationship and stakeholder-management skills, comfortable engaging with C-level and facilities/real-estate decision makers.
  • Commercial acumen with proven negotiation skills and experience closing contract renewals and expansions.
  • Operational understanding of landscape/plant maintenance workflows and ability to translate horticulture constraints into commercial commitments. (Experience in landscaping, facilities management, or workplace services preferred.)
  • Project coordination skills with an eye for detail (scheduling, handoffs, quality checks).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident running business reviews and walkthroughs.
  • Comfortable with CRM and basic data/reporting (sales forecasts, churn/retention metrics, CSAT/NPS).
  • Team handling skills.
Experience and education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Landscape Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field; MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 5-9 years of experience in B2B account management, sales or client services; experience with corporate clients and managed services preferred. Senior roles 8+ years.
  • Prior experience in landscaping, facility services, workplace design, or a plant-related business is highly desirable.
