About the role:
Position Summary
A manager of the division has responsibility for effectively managing projects and staff in a rapidly growing team, working directly below the leadership team. Skillset requirements include critical thinking, planning, financial analysis and concise presentation of outputs. Managers also have a responsibility for regular client contact, staff training and liaising with other divisions of RSM and third parties.
As a manager, you will work closely with senior leaders, taking ownership of complex and high‑profile valuation engagements that demand strong advisory judgement and technical depth. You will lead multiple projects concurrently, shaping engagement strategy, guiding delivery and ensuring excellence in outcomes.
Beyond the technical work, this role offers the chance to build and mentor a high‑performing team, providing hands-on leadership and coaching to develop the next generation of valuation specialists. Equally important, you will play a key role in business development and stakeholder management, helping to grow client relationships, contribute to new opportunities and strengthen RSM’s reputation in the market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Corporate Valuations: Lead valuations of businesses and intangible assets for taxation, transactional, strategic and litigation purposes
- Accounting Valuations: Perform and review purchase price allocations (PPAs), intangible asset valuations, impairment testing, convertible note and options/rights valuations under relevant accounting standards
- Independent Expert Reports: Preparation and review of IERs in accordance with ASIC and ASX requirements
- Client Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of valuation engagements, building strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Project Delivery: Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to RSM’s quality standards
- Leadership & Development: Lead, coach and develop junior team members within the Valuations team
- Business Development: Support growth initiatives, proposals and client-facing opportunities
About you:
Requirements & Experience:
You are a valuation specialist with strong technical skills, sound commercial judgement and the confidence to lead client engagements end-to-end. You enjoy working collaboratively and take pride in delivering high‑quality advisory outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Business / Commerce with an Accounting major
- Fully qualified CA, CFA or equivalent
- 4–6 years’ experience in Professional Services
- Minimum 4 years’ dedicated valuations experience (mandatory)
- Strong technical knowledge across valuation methodologies and accounting standards
- Excellent written communication and report writing skills
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
