About this role

About the Team

You will be joining the Real Estate and Workplace Operations (REWO) team within DoorDash’s Finance Organization. We design, build, and operate inclusive, inspiring, and functional spaces that help employees do their best work, removing physical friction so teams can focus on what matters.

About the Role

This role leads day-to-day Workplace and Facilities operations for our India site. You will drive efficient, employee-focused operations on the ground, combining hands-on operational expertise, vendor management, and team leadership to execute workplace strategy set by regional and global leadership.  This is an overnight position that will also require working some weekends.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and develop an insourced and outsourced Workplace and Facilities team on-site, maintaining consistency in operations, service delivery, and employee experience.
  • Set team goals aligned with organizational objectives; define clear performance metrics and hold the team accountable to them.
  • Implement processes, playbooks, and initiatives that align with global workplace strategies and drive operational efficiency.
  • Support space planning and allocation to accommodate evolving organizational needs, balancing functionality, employee experience, and cost.
  • Coordinate office events to ensure they reflect company culture and deliver engaging, impactful experiences.
  • Ensure all facilities meet local regulations, safety standards, and company policies; partner with cross-functional teams to stay ahead of changing requirements.
  • Partner with the Global Operations Center on crisis scenarios (natural disasters, evacuations, pandemics) and help the team execute business continuity plans.
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships for food, beverages, and essential services including contract administration, renewals, RFPs, and ongoing service level assessments.
  • Support Real Estate on lease renewals, new builds, and renovations to ensure smooth day-one operations.
  • Use occupancy data, employee surveys, and spend analysis to inform local workplace decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage the site's operating budget, including financial variance tracking and cost-saving initiatives that maintain service quality.
  • Support change management for workplace initiatives, communicating clearly and consistently with stakeholders throughout.
  • Deliver regular updates to leadership on operations, project progress, and KPIs; maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners, landlords, vendors, and contractors.
  • Partner with the Sustainability Team to support environmental improvements at the office location.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of Workplace leadership experience managing a team.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop team members, build cross-functional partnerships, and foster a high-performance culture. Comfortable setting goals, adapting quickly, and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present clearly across levels. Strong interpersonal skills and a relationship-first approach.
  • Organization & Execution: Highly organized and detail-oriented; thrives in fast-paced environments and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive and solutions-oriented, with sound judgment and the ability to anticipate needs and act independently when required.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing infrastructure service providers (custodial, catering, maintenance, etc.).
  • Project Management: Ability to manage cross-functional projects from planning through completion, including office construction and renovation logistics.
  • Budget Management: Familiarity with budget tracking, financial planning, and procurement/sourcing processes.
  • Technology: Hands-on with Google Suite, Jira, Coupa, Slack, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Sigma. Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
  • Flexibility: Able to work in-office 5 days a week, travel ~10%, and work overnight shifts including weekends.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with workplace trends (hybrid/remote work, workplace design) and their impact on collaboration and productivity.
