CDL Class A Driver – Home Daily!

 

3 Shifts are available and we need 4 drivers

• 1 driver: Friday–Monday, 2pm – 12:30am ($30.50/hr + $2.50/hr shift premium)
• 1 driver: Thursday–Sunday, 10am – 8pm ($30.50/hr + $2.00 shift premium)
• 2 drivers: Friday –Sunday, 7am – 7pm ($30.50/hr + $2.00/hr shift premium)

Base pay rates starting at $30.50per hour plus overtime pay available after 40 worked hours per week and shift premium. 

 

About the role

 

As a CDL Driver, you’ll not only drive our equipment, but you’ll also drive our success!  You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe, on-time delivery of goods for our customers, running local routes that get you home daily. These are shuttle runs moving products between buildings on the same campus or nearby locations.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Drive tractors pulling 53-foot trailers in and around the site or on public roads
• Semi-touch freight position assisting in loading from the dock and unloading on the dock.
• Drive safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices
• Perform routine inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch

 

What you’ll need to succeed at GXO

 

At a minimum you’ll need:

• 6 months of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) experience operating the same type of equipment needed for this position, or larger, in the last 3 years
• Must be at least 18 years old
• A current valid Class A driver’s license and an acceptable MVR

It’d be great if you also have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience moving multiple types of trailers (tanks, vans, flatbeds)
