What you'll do
- Analyze requirements and product changes, identify gaps and risks, and define the right test coverage.
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate functionality across UI, API, database, and integration layers.
- Assess regression and release risks and make quality visible before changes go live.
- Investigate defects and localize issues across client, backend, data, integrations, and environments.
- Use browser DevTools, network debugging, proxy tools, API tools, logs, and databases to get to the root cause.
- Inspect HTTP/HTTPS requests and responses to troubleshoot issues.
- Verify bug fixes and make sure changes don’t introduce new problems.
- Test Web applications across relevant user flows, integrations, and edge cases.
- Test REST APIs and Backend functionality, including authentication, authorization, and API communication.
- Validate data using SQL queries and relational databases.
- Work with API tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar.

- Practical experience using AI tools in day-to-day QA work, such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar tools, and willingness to incorporate AI into testing and problem-solving workflows.

- Practical experience with Kafka or similar message brokers and the ability to read and analyze messages/events.
- Understanding of asynchronous and event-driven communication and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud environments.
- Basic experience with test automation or scripting, and/or performance or load testing.
- Experience working with high-load or product-based environments.

Why this role exists:
The purpose of this role is to ensure software quality and system reliability across Web applications, Backend layers, and REST APIs. The engineer independently identifies risks, defines test coverage, and localizes root causes across client, database, and integration environments to support release decisions.
