  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the oil room and ensure the area remains clean and organized.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of oils, coolants, and related supplies; provide weekly inventory reports for purchasing.
  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including cleaning overhead ducting, traffic mirrors, and work areas, hanging signage, and supporting housekeeping initiatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance mezzanine and filter storage areas.
  • Empty chip bins from production equipment using a forklift on Day, Afternoon, and Weekend shifts.
  • Support production equipment by completing coolant changes, filter replacements, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with machinery moves, equipment installations, and arrivals, including area preparation and disposal of crates and pallets.
  • Charge and maintain walkie and forklift batteries on a scheduled basis.
  • Change parking lot signage as required and maintain floor matting throughout the facility.
  • Assist with office relocations and clean production floor windows.
  • Retrieve and return maintenance parts from inventory locations as required.
  • Receive and stock maintenance supplies and free-issue inventory.

Job Description

  • Participate in daily maintenance huddles and monthly team meetings.
  • Collect and file daily forklift and overhead crane inspection records.
  • Monitor coolant levels and concentrations daily and perform adjustments as required.
  • Complete coolant system maintenance and maintain electronic tracking records using Excel.
  • Close maintenance work orders upon completion in the maintenance management system.
  • Clean and maintain mist collector filters and ventilation systems to support air quality standards.
  • Service and monitor parts washers, including solution changes.
  • Maintain central coolant systems through daily and weekly inspections.
  • Clean and maintain Plymovent filtration units on polishing stations.

Qualifications

Certifications and/or experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, working at heights, and overhead crane operations are considered a strong asset. Candidates with demonstrated knowledge of safe operating procedures, equipment inspections, and workplace safety regulations are preferred.
