Marine Operator (0074 May 2024)

At Royal Ocean Marine, we are currently seeking a Marine Operator to join our client's team. As a Marine Operator, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the safe and efficient operation of marine vessels. You will work closely with vessel crews, shore-based teams, and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track vessels/trucks/bunker barges/STS movements, including arrivals, departures, and transit.
• Coordinate communication between vessels/trucks/bunker barges/STS crews, pilots, and port authorities.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
• Manage vessels/trucks/bunker barges/STS schedules and optimize utilization.
• Monitor weather and sea conditions to ensure safe navigation.
• Provide operational support to vessels/trucks/bunker barges/STS crews, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of vessels/trucks/bunker barges/STS activities.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for the smooth provision of goods and services to vessels/trucks/bunker barges/STS.
• Participate in emergency response exercises and drills.

Requirements

• Prior experience in marine operations or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in using computer software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
