Marine Surveyor

I am recruiting for a Marine Surveyor to join a leading organisation within the maritime sector. This is an opportunity to develop a long-term career in marine surveying, working across a variety of vessel types while receiving structured training and support from an experienced team. South Wales / Bristol Area (Home-Based, with travel across South Wales, Southern England and occasional UK & Ireland).


The Role

• Carry out vessel surveys, inspections, and technical assessments onboard a range of vessel types
• Evaluate machinery systems, vessel condition, and regulatory compliance against industry standards
• Produce detailed technical reports and findings for clients and stakeholders
• Liaise with ship owners, operators, yards, and regulatory bodies
• Travel regularly to ports and shipyards across South Wales and Southern England, with occasional UK and Ireland travel
• Work independently in the field while being supported by an experienced technical team

Who This Role Suits

• Chief Engineer or Second Engineer (STCW III/2)
• Marine Engineer or Engineering Officer with relevant CoC (STCW)
• Naval Architect or Marine Engineer with hands-on vessel experience
• Shipboard engineers looking to transition ashore into technical surveying
• Class/Flag State surveyors with engineering expertise seeking a new challenge
