What you'll do
- Developing concepts for surgical 3D scene understanding and computer-assisted surgery, with a focus on 4D Gaussian Splatting, stereo and surface reconstruction, and multimodal sensor fusion
- Evaluating concepts on curated datasets and in own lab experiment settings
- Presenting and discussing research findings in team and department meetings
- Working with researchers and engineers in a collaborative environment at the ZEISS Innovation Hub Karlsruhe, located at the KIT Campus North

- Solid foundation in deep learning for computer vision (e.g. semantic segmentation, object tracking, or related areas), ideally with practical programming experience in Python

- An open mindset, a hands-on approach, and a passion for working in agile, interdisciplinary teams
- Good communication skills in English and/or German.

Your Role
Integrated into a team of scientists and research engineers, you will work on research projects in surgical robotics.
Developing concepts for surgical 3D scene understanding and computer-assisted surgery, with a focus on 4D Gaussian Splatting, stereo and surface reconstruction, and multimodal sensor fusion
