What you'll do

  • Perform all responsibilities of the MHE Technician I position.
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance activities based on equipment criticality and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of PMs and corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Review, prioritize, and monitor CMMS work orders to ensure accurate documentation and timely completion.
  • Coordinate third-party service providers and verify quality of completed work.
  • Receive and coordinate emergency service calls during scheduled on-call rotations, using sound judgment to triage equipment failures and determine appropriate response priorities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to MHE Technician I personnel.
  • Analyze recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Support inventory management, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with maintenance of additional warehouse equipment as the maintenance program expands.

  • Experience maintaining Raymond powered industrial trucks, including reach trucks, order pickers, pallet trucks, walkie riders, end riders, and other electric forklifts.
  • Experience working in refrigerated or cold-storage warehouse environments.
  • Experience servicing lead-acid and lithium-ion battery systems, charging equipment, battery management systems, and associated components.
  • Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software and manufacturer service documentation.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • Certification or training in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, heavy equipment repair, or a related trade.
  • Welding or fabrication experience is considered an asset.

Full description from employer

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break. The standard start time is 6:00 a.m.; however, start times may vary between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. based on operational requirements, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment availability, and emergency service needs.
  • Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required.

The MHE Lead the senior technical resource for the site's powered industrial truck maintenance program. In addition to performing advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs, this working lead coordinates daily maintenance activities, prioritizes work orders, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and assists in the development of the in-house MHE maintenance program.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • Extensive experience maintaining electric powered industrial trucks (forklifts).
