LTC Solutions is seeking a Mechanic/Data Logger Installer to install and integrate approved data-logging devices on military vehicles. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to install data-acquisition hardware safely without compromising the vehicle’s structure, systems, or operational integrity.

The installer will ensure all components are securely mounted, properly connected, tested, and fully operational in accordance with approved engineering specifications, technical procedures, and safety requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install data loggers and related hardware on military vehicles.
• Route and secure power, communication, and antenna cables using existing vehicle pathways whenever possible.
• Access and connect data loggers to vehicle J1939 communication networks.
• Remove and reinstall armor panels and other vehicle components as necessary to access installation locations.
• Properly torque fasteners and components according to technical specifications.
• Inspect mounting points, cables, and connections for proper placement and security.
• Test installed equipment and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, or connectivity issues.
• Document completed installations and report defects, vehicle concerns, or discrepancies.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, quality standards, technical guidance, and site requirements.
• Safeguard tools, equipment, and government property.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical engineering, automotive technology, electronics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Relevant mechanical, automotive, military vehicle, electrical installation, or equipment-integration experience may substitute for education.
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems, cable routing, wiring connections, or data-acquisition equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with J1939 communication networks preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, installation instructions, and torque specifications.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and basic diagnostic equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an onsite environment.
• Ability to satisfy applicable site-access and security requirements.
