Mechanical Design Engineer | Brooklyn Park, MN

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team in Brooklyn Park, MN as a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will be part of a group of engineers dedicated to high-quality work, value-add solutions, skill development, and career growth. We  welcome candidates from the Minneapolis metro and beyond to apply.  

Employees working in Brooklyn Park, MN have a short commute from Brooklyn Center, New Hope, Maple Grove, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Blaine, and Plymouth, and will enjoy professional growth and community engagement through our regional presence in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and South Dakota.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll join a small, agile team supporting a diverse range of projects and initiatives across product development and manufacturing. This role is ideal for a mechanical engineer with deep design experience, CAD expertise, and a strong foundation in both metal and polymer fabrication techniques. You’ll be responsible for interpreting customer requirements, creating and refining 3D designs, managing projects, performing design validation through FEA, and collaborating across disciplines to integrate mechanical systems with electrical and control components. Your work will directly impact the performance, manufacturability, and innovation of product lines. You’ll support various clients and industries while collaborating with suppliers and other Applied partners.

ESTIMATED PAY RANGE

Engineer III: $43.27–$49.04/hour

Senior Engineer: $46.63–$53.85/hour

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. Paid overtime may be available.
