About the Opportunity 

As Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design, delivery and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment across the Wyaralong project. You will prepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications and calculations, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements. You will provide technical input on pumps, piping and valves, coordinate closely with process, civil, structural and electrical disciplines, and support procurement, construction and commissioning through to handover. 

Key accountabilities for the position will be: 

• Support design and delivery of mechanical systems and equipment 

• Prepare and review mechanical drawings, calculations and specifications 

• Provide input into selection and sizing of pumps, piping and valves 

• Coordinate mechanical scope with process, civil and electrical disciplines 

• Support procurement through technical specifications and vendor review 

• Respond to RFIs and resolve site-based technical issues 

• Support installation, testing and commissioning activities 

 

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification 
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical engineering on water or infrastructure projects 

• Working knowledge of applicable Australian Standards and industry codes 

• Experience across design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases 

• Engineers Australia membership or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status desirable
