  • Perform conceptual and detailed mechanical engineering design activities.
  • Prepare equipment specifications, data sheets and tender documents for equipment procurement.
  • Support procurement and expediting activities to facilitate project installation and construction.
  • Ensure mechanical and piping systems meet technical specifications, applicable industry and internal standards, regulatory requirements and QA/QC requirements.
  • Support small multidisciplinary projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering, construction and commissioning.
  • Coordinate technical information requests during fabrication and construction.
  • Participate in shop and site visits as required to verify approved designs, quality, code compliance and project schedules.
  • Provide project management and supervision of contractors at site.
  • Work closely with other departments and project team members to support successful project execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Supervisor.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The successful candidates will support a diverse portfolio of capital and operating projects, contributing throughout the full project lifecycle from conceptual design and engineering through procurement, construction and commissioning.

This is a site-based opportunity at a remote northern mining operation, working on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation.

What You’ll Do

Flights: Flights are provided from designated travel hubs including Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows, Stony Rapids, Wollaston Post, Fond du Lac and Points North. Room and board are provided while onsite.
