Mechanical Technician - Pigging-Ankleshwar

1. Twin Screw Pump – Maintenance & Overhauling

• Carry out breakdown and preventive maintenance of Twin Screw Pumps as per schedule
• Perform mechanical seal replacement and ensure leak-free pump operation
• Execute screw shaft overhauling including dismantling, inspection, and reassembly
• Carry out de-choking of pumps and restore to normal operation with minimum downtime
• Perform coupling alignment using dial gauge / laser alignment tools
• Arrest all leakages in Twin Screw Pump systems promptly and effectively

2. Routine Checks & Condition Monitoring

• Conduct daily safety checks, piping inspection, and leakage detection on all pump systems
• Perform lubrication of pump bearings and rotating components as per lubrication schedule
• Carry out rotation checks to ensure correct direction and smooth operation
• Monitor and record vibration and noise levels to detect early signs of equipment deterioration
• Maintain equipment health records and report abnormalities to Team Leader immediately

3. Valves, Filters & Strainers – Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of:
  • Pressure Relief Valves (PRV) – inspection, setting, and replacement
  • Mechanical Ball Valves – operation, maintenance, and replacement
  • Bucket Type Strainers and Y-Type Strainers – cleaning and inspection
  • Self-Cleaning Filters and Bucket Filters – cleaning, troubleshooting, and mesh replacement
• Ensure all filters and strainers are maintained in clean and functional condition at all times

4. Pigging Line – Operation & Maintenance

• Operate and maintain Pigging Line systems of ABB and IUS make
• Carry out maintenance of T-Valves and Butterfly Valves including seal replacement
• Perform pig repairing including flapper replacement and condition assessment
• Troubleshoot receiver and launcher headers of pigging line systems
• Carry out NRV (Non-Return Valve) replacement and ensure proper functioning
• Arrest leakages across all pigging line components and connections

5. Daily CLRI Tasks & Documentation

• Execute daily CLRI (Cleaning, Lubrication, Retightening, and Inspection) tasks for Twin Screw Pumps and Pigging Line systems
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks for all equipment
• Raise and close work orders in the maintenance management system
• Document breakdown details, root cause, corrective actions, and spare parts used
• Ensure timely submission of daily maintenance reports to Team Leader

6. Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures, LOTO protocols, and permit-to-work systems strictly
• Use appropriate PPE at all times during maintenance and inspection activities
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and mock drills
• Report near-misses, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately
• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory requirements
