Solution Architect, Data - Customer Transformation
Business Unit:  Technology
Sourcing Location:  Victoria

About the role: Solution Architect, Data – Customer Transformation – 6 month contract

Reporting into the Enterprise Architect – Data, the Solution Architect will join EnergyAustralia’s Customer Transformation Program to provide solution leadership and advisory, develop and implement solutions aligned to the program’s roadmaps. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design end-to-end data migration architecture from current systems to the new billing platform
  • Define data quality and clean-up processes, and design data models within Databricks, to support downstream analytics, reporting, and integration with core business systems
  • Design and implement data sourcing strategies (batch, real-time, API or event-based) into Analytics platform
  • Oversee data ingestion using Fivetran and transformation workflows using DBT
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align architecture with business requirements and future reporting and analytics use cases (and present architecture artefacts to the Architecture Review Board)
  • Ensure AWS infrastructure, networking, and platform configurations are secure and reliable, establishing best practices for scalability and performance across the data ecosystem
  • Enable reporting and visualization through Power BI consuming curated data from Databricks and Redshift.

 

 

Be Impactful when you are applying…

You will bring strong technical depth as a data architect or lead data engineer, paired with the collaboration and influencing skills to guide teams and stakeholders through complex, large-scale data initiatives. Additionally, you will have some of the following:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering successful data architecture and engineering solutions in large-scale environments/enterprises, including large-scale data migration and analytics projects
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines and data quality frameworks, with experience in data governance, security and compliance standards
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, Fivetran, and DBT
  • Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform engineering on AWS (certs looked upon favourably).
  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and visualization
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and ability to design for future advanced analytics use cases
  • Excellent communication skills – an open and collaborative communicator with proven ability to influence outcomes based on clear and concise messaging
