Job Summary:
The Manager – MEP will be responsible for managing day-to-day execution, supervision, and coordination of all MEP services on high-rise residential projects. This includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-fighting, and low-voltage systems. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality execution of MEP works, with seamless integration into Mivan construction systems.
Key Responsibilities:
🏗️ MEP Execution & Coordination
- Supervise MEP works on site and ensure execution as per GFC/shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensure alignment of MEP services with Mivan shuttering construction – especially shaft positions, embedments, and conduiting.
- Monitor daily work progress, manpower, and material requirements.
📐 Design & Drawing Review
- Assist in reviewing MEP coordination drawings and highlight conflicts with civil/structural layouts.
- Ensure implementation of approved drawings and communicate any revisions to the execution teams.
- Coordinate with consultants for design clarification and changes.
🛠️ Vendor & Contractor Supervision
- Oversee the work of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety compliance.
- Track contractor performance, check work measurements, and certify interim bills.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and tools required for MEP works.
📊 Planning & Reporting
- Prepare weekly/monthly MEP progress reports and submit them to senior management.
- Coordinate with planning and civil teams for MEP schedule alignment.
- Highlight delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints proactively.
✅ Testing & Quality Assurance
- Monitor site QA/QC checks and testing of MEP systems as per defined protocols.
- Assist in pre-commissioning and final commissioning of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain documentation for inspections, testing, and regulatory compliance (e.g., fire, electrical NOCs).
👥 Team & Coordination
- Lead a team of engineers/supervisors in day-to-day MEP activities.
- Coordinate with civil, safety, and procurement teams to ensure smooth MEP execution.
- Ensure adherence to safety norms and conduct regular toolbox talks for the MEP workforce.
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Mivan construction projects is highly preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and basic knowledge of project planning tools/ERP
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire systems
- Familiarity with service integration in Mivan shuttering methodology
- Ability to manage contractors and ensure technical compliance
- Coordination and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of IS/NBC/IEC/NFPA and other statutory codes
