As a Site EHS Construction Manager , you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundation technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, XBOX, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) business is critical to delivering on this mission and vision, building and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure, which is growing rapidly in response to unprecedented demand for Microsoft services. CO+I operates one of the largest cloud networks on the planet – comprised of more than 160 Datacenters, 130+ edge sites, 2+ million miles of fiber, and millions of servers and network and storage devices.
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team is seeking a Metro Construction EHS Manager with the passion to drive value across complex supplier relationships and demonstrated experience in supplier management. Strong analytical skills, using data to design processes that scale, effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, and the drive to continuously improve and achieve business objectives will be critical to success in this role. The span and complexity of our activities requires advanced knowledge and technical specialization in construction and design safety management to recognize and control risks.
This is a highly influential position reporting to the Regional Director, Construction and Design Safety. Position location is in Helsinki, Finland and will be a site based role supporting construction projects in this region.

Responsibilities
Drive initiatives with a high degree of accountability, adaptability, and urgency, ensuring timely execution of priorities and successful delivery of outcomes.
Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across functions and organizational levels to support decision making and drive business objectives.
Influence and align stakeholders, including senior leaders, to support strategic initiatives and promote continuous improvement.
Develop, analyze, and communicate performance metrics, dashboards, and scorecards to monitor progress and enable data-driven decision making.
Lead multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and in alignment with business requirements.
Provide leadership and direction to teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and successful execution in a fast-paced environment.
Partner with cross-functional teams to establish shared goals, drive alignment, and deliver business outcomes in accordance with the One Microsoft culture.
Communicate project status, risks, opportunities, and recommendations effectively through written and verbal presentations to stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional experience and/or industry certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience in safety, environmental health and safety, or related roles, with demonstrated experience managing a broad range of risks across multiple sites, including operations within Finland or other European locations.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable regulatory and industry safety standards relevant to construction and operational activities in Finland.
Experience implementing health and safety programs in construction environments, aligned with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a construction EHS Professional such as IOSH or BCSP
Demonstrated experience and success with delivering cross functional programs, including ownership, and driving results.
Experience in Mission Critical project delivery and large civil / Building projects.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Environmental Health & Safety IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Finland is € 63,800.00 - € 118,800.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
