Position Overview

In this exciting and challenging position, you will be responsible for definition of complete vehicle targets, CMP (customer market profile), breakdown to domain targets

Actively be part of Magna global RnD programs & strategic goals.

Lead Magna China RnD programs

Job Responsibility

• Lead the development of Magna China RnD programs
• Definition of a customer market profile for the car of the future
• Management of the transition of the customer market profile in technical goals
• Determination of a complete vehicle function target catalog coordinated with domains
• Monitoring, control of and fulfilling of the technical overall vehicle targets
• Resolution of target deviations and conflicts, balancing of conflicting CV targets on vehicle, system and subsystem level.
• Management of the overall vehicle DVP (Design Verification Plan) and transferring the Integration-Team inputs into the system-/components specifications
• Approval recommendation at system and module level from the point of view of the Integration-teams
• Organization of and participation in benchmark; derivation of new functions and targets
• Engineering activity Interaction with cross group engineering
• Collaborate with university, consultant companies for innovative ideas, program execution, engineering service
• Technical assessment for M&A activities
• Others
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Reasonably judge, identify, and properly handle all the personal information involved in work, and to learn and master the relevant policies and procedures for Magna's data privacy and personal information management.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Education   

• Preferable majoring in mechanical, electronics or automotive engineering.
• Education: Bachelor degree or above. Master in engineering or MBA is preferred.

Work Experience       

• >5 years of experience in complete vehicle development, lead of >2 projects

Managerial Experience          

• Experience in working with (globally) distributed teams
• Leadership competence

• Experience in complete vehicle development process
• Expertise in relevant legislation and standards

• Knowledge and skills in budgeting and expenses control

IT/Language

• Good PC skills of MS-office suites
• Good English and Chinese communication and presentation skills
