The Calgary West Central Primary Care Network (CWC PCN) is a non-profit organization committed to a healthier future. As a Primary Care Network, we work alongside hundreds of family doctors (our members) to support the patient-doctor relationship and provide programs and services at no cost to doctor or patient.

As the Microsoft SharePoint & Power Platform Developer, you’ll develop, enhance, support, and maintain business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and related technologies. You’ll translate approved requirements and solution designs into functional, reliable, and user-friendly applications, workflows, integrations, and SharePoint solutions. You’ll provide hands-on development and technical support across Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft 365, APIs, and related technologies while following established architecture, security, governance, documentation, and application lifecycle standards.

This role is primarily a work-from-home position with occasional in-person responsibilities; therefore, the successful candidate must be located within the Calgary Zone or the surrounding area (e.g., Cochrane, Canmore, Airdrie, etc.).

Responsibilities

Application development

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Power Apps, including canvas and model-driven applications.
• Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows and business process automation.
• Configure Dataverse tables, columns, relationships, forms, views, and security roles.
• Develop integrations using Microsoft 365 services, APIs, Microsoft Graph, custom connectors, and other approved technologies.
• Complete application enhancements, bug fixes, and technical improvements to existing solutions.
• Develop and maintain custom components, interfaces, and web solutions using technologies such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, and SQL where required.

Solution development and support

• Configure user interfaces, data structures, business rules, and application functionality.
• Test and troubleshoot applications, workflows, integrations, SharePoint solutions, permissions, and data issues.
• Support production applications and respond to technical issues or defects.
• Maintain technical, solution, and knowledge transfer documentation.
• Monitor assigned solutions and identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance and usability.

SharePoint and Microsoft 365 development

• Develop and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, pages, views, permissions, and related solutions.
• Support integration between SharePoint, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and other organizational systems.
• Develop and maintain SharePoint customizations using approved tools and technologies where required.

Development standards, security, and governance

• Follow established Power Platform, SharePoint, security, governance, development, and application lifecycle management standards and procedures.
• Implement approved security roles, permissions, and access controls.
• Develop within assigned Power Platform environments and follow established solution deployment and application lifecycle management processes.
• Ensure solutions are appropriately tested, documented, and supportable before implementation.
• Identify development risks, technical limitations, or security concerns and escalate them as appropriate.

Business and project support

• Work with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, understand business processes, and participate in solution discussions, testing, and implementation activities.
• Provide technical input on development effort, dependencies, risks, and implementation considerations.
• Assist with user testing, training, and implementation support.

Requirements

Education: A post-secondary diploma or certificate in the area(s) of computer science, software development, software engineering, business and computer information technology, or similar is required.

Experience: A minimum of two years’ professional experience in the following is required:

• Deploying Office 365 in organizations (Exchange, Power BI, Power Apps, AD, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.) and architecting complex Azure public/private Cloud Platform Solutions.
• Software development and programming, including experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-quality applications and solutions using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks, with working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, and SQL Server.

Certification: MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) Certification and/or MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) would be an asset.

Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.

Background check: A clear Criminal Background check is required to start.
