Role Overview
IT Teacher for Classes 6-8 to build digital literacy via CBSE curriculum, blending coding, MS Office, internet safety, and AI basics through hands-on computer lab sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Class 6 (computers, QBASIC, Scratch intro), Class 7 (HTML, Python basics, databases), Class 8 (cyber ethics, app development, data representation).
- Conduct lab sessions: coding challenges (Code.org/Scratch), MS Office projects (Excel charts, PowerPoint), typing drills, Tux Paint graphics.
- Tools: interactive platforms (CodeChef, HackerRank juniors), projectors, robotics kits (Arduino basics), multimedia for AI/cybersecurity awareness.
- Assessments: programming assignments, viva on algorithms, practical exams, project work (school website mockup).
- Maintain lab inventory logs, student coding portfolios, troubleshooting records.
- Organize tech fests, coding Olympiads (IOCMC prep), robotics clubs, hackathons.
- PTM demos of student apps/websites, share digital certificates/badges.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- B.Sc. Computer Science/IT/BCA.
- B.Ed./D.El.Ed. with computer pedagogy; CTET preferred.
- 2-4 years teaching CBSE middle school IT; coding competition experience.
- Tech-savvy programmer; strong English-Hindi communication; innovative troubleshooter.
Work Location & Timings
Location: Budigere Cross, Bengaluru, Karnataka
Working Days: Monday-Saturday (rotational Saturday off)
Timings: 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM; Weekly stay-back till 5 PM (Mandatory)
Awareness of Academic & Administrative Documentation
- Students’ Anecdotal Records (lab behavior, troubleshooting skills).
- Internal Marks Register (FA1-4 practicals, SA1-2 theory).
- CBSE Assessments (Formative: coding projects; Summative: lab exams).
- Activity Records (lab sessions, coding club logs).
- Lesson/Activity/Weekly Plans (with objectives, software/tools, rubrics).
- Parent Communications.
