Mill Planner

We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Mill Planners to join our team and support the effective planning and coordination of mill maintenance activities. In this role, you will ensure that the required people, spare parts, materials, tools, and equipment access are available and properly coordinated so that planned maintenance work can be scheduled and executed safely and efficiently.

The Mill Planner will work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other relevant teams to prepare and coordinate maintenance plans, resolve resource constraints, and ensure work is ready for execution. The role is key to improving maintenance efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting the reliable operation of the mill.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain long- and short-range maintenance plans, ensuring planned activities are aligned with operational priorities, maintenance strategies, and available resources.

• Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) information for all assets within the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring required parts and materials are correctly identified and available for planned work.

• Scope maintenance work and document planning decisions using the Work Planning Checklist, ensuring work requirements, resources, materials, tools, and equipment needs are clearly defined.

• Determine the appropriate level of planning for each new work request or work order, based on the complexity, risk, resources, and execution requirements of the job.

• Coordinate maintenance planning and resource requirements to ensure work is properly prepared and ready for safe and efficient execution.

• Work closely with Maintenance Supervisors and other stakeholders to ensure adequate planning, clarify work priorities, address constraints, and maintain alignment between planned and operational maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Higher Secondary Diploma (NATIN/AMTO) Mechanical (werktuigbouwkunde)

• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferable in maintenance

• Industrial Mechanical & Electrical system or equipment installation and maintenance    

• Experience with earthmoving equipment

• Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment drawings, predictive maintenance

• Willingness to work at our Brokopondo mine site on a rotational schedule (14 days on, 7 days off)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Dutch and English

• If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goedgedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
