About this role
Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is currently seeking a Mine Technology Technician to join the Mine Technical Services Department. In this role, you will support the implementation, operation, and ongoing maintenance of the Wenco, and other hardware and software systems critical to our mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Wenco and all related mine technology systems.
Perform routine maintenance, system updates, and performance checks to ensure reliable and efficient system operation.
Collaborate closely with the Mine Technical Services team to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
Provide technical support and user training to ensure proper and effective use of mine technology systems.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of system configurations, updates, and technical interventions.
The ideal candidate will have:
Higher Secondary Education diploma in NATIN Elektrotechniek and WTB or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of technology systems.
Solid knowledge of safety protocols in an industrial environment, mobile systems support, large-scale system upgrade procedures, process control hardware, programming tools, and digital network communications.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment across various levels of the organization.
Valid Surinamese driver’s license.
Willingness to work in Brokopondo on a rotational schedule 14 working days followed by 7 days off.
Proficiency in Dutch and English, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goedgedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
