Missional Deployment Coordinator

Position description:

The Missional Deployment Coordinator prepares deploying team members for effective missional and cross-cultural engagement.

      6.  This individual should possess strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Platform applications.

      7.  This individual must be an active member (serving) in good standing (with regular attendance) with a local evangelical Church.

      8.   This individual must be willing to assist in other departments as directed by their manager(s).

Time Requirements: 

 With sensitivity to family needs in mind, this position will require at minimum 40 in-office hours per week.

 

Travel Requirements:

 This position requires heavy domestic and international travel.

Position duties:

The Missional Deployment Coordinator prepares deploying team members for effective missional and cross-cultural engagement.

 

1.  Mission-Aligned Deployment

1. • Facilitate Vapor deployment programs in international settings
   • Establish and maintain a structured development framework
   • Support team members in building language proficiency
   • Create content tailored to local and organizational needs
   • Provide ongoing coaching to strengthen team effectiveness

 

         2.  Cultural Engagement

      §  Equip leaders in cultural sensitivity and awareness

      §  Offer guidance on communication, dress, and behavior

      §  Teach best practices for community interaction and relationship-building

      §  Facilitate cultural immersion experiences to deepen understanding

 

         3.   Indigenous Development

               ·       Assist in identifying and equipping local indigenous leaders

               ·       Guide the development of a sustainable leadership pipeline

               ·       Adapt content and methods to align with cultural context

               ·       Promote mentoring relationships across cultural lines

 

       4.   Travel Readiness

             ·       Manage immigration, visa, and international travel processes

             ·       Ensure all activities align with host-country laws and regulations

             ·       Monitor and respond to changing travel restrictions

             ·       Develop emergency travel protocols to protect team members

 

      5.  Risk Management

              ·       Streamline international mobility for smooth transitions

              ·       Coordinate travel logistics between global locations

              ·       Assess and address potential security risks or cultural risks

              ·       Implement crisis prevention and response strategies

              ·       Maintain a network of local contacts for regional support
