Job Summary

Glass Plants - Mixing & Melting Maintenance Foreman
1. Control the inspection and acceptance of raw materials to ensure they meet the specified quality standards, and oversee the loading of raw materials into the batch plant.
2. Inspect and control the operation of the furnace to ensure the molten glass meets the required quality standards.
3. Carry out tasks assigned by the Mixing & Melting Supervisor to achieve the defined objectives and goals.

Job Description:

Glass Plants - Mixing & Melting Maintenance Foreman
1. Inspect and supervise the work of Mixing & Melting Technicians in the furnace, batch plant, and truck scale areas. Provide guidance and resolve issues when abnormalities occur in the areas of responsibility.
2. Coordinate with the Supervisor and/or Shift Supervisor when abnormalities are detected or when machinery issues arise outside of working hours.
3. Inspect the work area, equipment, and machinery to ensure they are in proper condition and ready for use, including safety checks according to standards set by the safety department.
4.Verify daily reports from Mixing & Melting Maintenance Technicians, such as the Furnace Daily Report and machine check sheets.
5.Inspect the condition of furnace bricks, working end, and forehearth according to the inspection schedule set by the Supervisor, and plan maintenance work for departmental equipment for approval by the department head.
6. Carry out activities related to various standard systems, including safety and environmental responsibilities.
7. Identify unsafe conditions and actions within the factory, take corrective actions, and report to supervisors.
