Paladin Security is Hiring Mobile Security Guards!

Location: Duncan, BC and Cowichan Valley
Schedule: Days, Evenings, Nights & Weekends
Employment Type: On-Site / Mobile Patrol
Pay Rate: $21.00 – $23.00/hour
Training Wage: $18.75/hour

Overview

Paladin Security is currently hiring Mobile Security Guards to join our growing team in Duncan and the surrounding Cowichan Valley. As a Mobile Security Guard, you’ll spend your shifts travelling between client sites in a company patrol vehicle, conducting scheduled and unscheduled patrols, responding to alarms and incidents, and helping ensure our clients' properties remain safe and secure.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys working independently, driving, staying active, and handling a variety of situations throughout their shift. No two shifts are exactly the same!

We are looking for reliable, professional, and customer-focused team members who are comfortable working flexible schedules, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mobile patrols of multiple client properties
  • Drive a company patrol vehicle safely between assigned locations
  • Complete scheduled site checks, lock/unlock services, and property inspections
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents
  • Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security breaches
  • Complete clear and detailed incident and daily activity reports
  • Provide professional customer service to clients and members of the public
  • Contact emergency services when required
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required
  • Conduct foot patrols as part of assigned site inspections
  • Use radios, mobile devices, and computer systems to document and communicate activity
  • Respond professionally to trespassing and other security-related concerns

Requirements

Must Have

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
  • Clean driving record / Driver’s Abstract
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Ability to drive for extended periods and conduct regular foot patrols
  • Comfortable working independently, including during night shifts
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred

  • Valid BC Security Worker Licence
  • Valid OFA Level 1 or higher certification
  • Previous security, mobile patrol, customer service, or related experience
