What you'll do
- Implements telemetry monitoring on patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring and/or pulse oximetry
- Monitors heart rhythm patterns to detect record and report normal and abnormal interval measurements and proper and improper pacemaker or implantable defibrillator function
- Monitors, and reports abnormal oxygen saturation levels
- Exercises independent judgment in daily technical work under the direction of the charge nurse, assistant nurse manager, nurse manager or supervisor
What they're looking for
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization
- 1 year or more of experience in identification of heart rhythm patterns or Dysrhythmia certification
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS)
- If uncertified, Dysrhythmia certification is required with 6 months of hire (National Telemetry Association, Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Certification, Rhythm Interpretation Certification and ECG/EKG certification)
Nice to have
- Vocational or technical training or degree: CNA, CMA or Dysrhythmia certification
- 2 years or more of experience in identification of heart rhythm patterns with Dysrhythmia certification
- Dysrhythmia certification upon hire
