  • Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in lighting, control, and Special FX products, including ancillary equipment such as main distribution and networking.
  • Limiting electronic repairs to the circuit board level.
  • Modifying and upgrading ORPL equipment to CL standards as specified in CL TechNotes.
  • Recording all repairs in repair tracking systems.
  • Placing parts orders when items are not in stock.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance as outlined in the Service Reference Guide.
  • Ensuring all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage areas at the end of the shift.
  • Ensuring equipment waiting for repair is stored in an organized and tidy manner.
  • Cleaning workstations and common areas as assigned.
  • Removing recycling and waste to designated disposal areas.

Job Purpose

The Repair Technician repairs equipment to Christie Lites standards.

Responsibilities

1. Diagnoses and fixes issues with CL rental equipment by:

  • Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in lighting, control, and Special FX products, including ancillary equipment such as main distribution and networking.
  • Limiting electronic repairs to the circuit board level.
  • Modifying and upgrading ORPL equipment to CL standards as specified in CL TechNotes.
  • Recording all repairs in repair tracking systems.
  • Placing parts orders when items are not in stock.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance as outlined in the Service Reference Guide.

2. Maintains a clean and organized work area by:

  • Ensuring all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage areas at the end of the shift.
  • Ensuring equipment waiting for repair is stored in an organized and tidy manner.
  • Cleaning workstations and common areas as assigned.
  • Removing recycling and waste to designated disposal areas.
